My best friend is a dog. Yes, I have people best friends as well but no one is my best friend like my dog Boston.
I got Boston at time in my life that I was having a really hard time. He was my angel. Some days the only reason I got out of bed was to feed him and take care of him. He's saved my life.
He is always there when I need him, we take naps, go on adventures, we cuddle and sing. We watch t.v and he especially likes anything with Wolves. He's been with me through it all, even screening Daddy (Tyler) to make sure he fit our family.
I got Boston at the gateway mall. A woman was selling puppies in February in the freezing cold. there was a few puppies of the same breed all huddled together and Boston was all by himself because he wasn't in that same litter. I picked him up and wrapped him in my coat to keep him warm. I asked the lady how long she'd been out, she said all day. I asked what she would do if she didn't sell the puppies she said take them to the pound. I asked how much he was she said 50.00 bucks. So, me and my roomate and our friend bought him and brought him home.
He was scared, as most 8 week old puppies are in a new place. We put down a red plaid blanket for him and he wouldn't move from it. He was my angel.
I've had people tell me how bad he is, one roomate told me he was a monster and said I could stay but he had to go. So, we left.
He's grown up now and in a few months he'll be 4 years old. He's not a monster anymore. He's my best friend, and I can't imagine life without his fury brown face.

Family
Family: This is a topic that is very close to my heart and I have so many emotions about it.
I lived the first six years of my life in Utah, with all my moms side of the family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. And I loved it. I loved spending all the time with my Aunt and I loved sleepovers at my grandma's. I loved when we drove to Ogden to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Hartey. I LOVED IT.
Then, it all changed. We moved to Tennessee and then to Florida where I would spend the next 11 years of my life and everything changed.
Family started not talking to us on the phone. My uncle didn't talk to us for six years, because of a fight he and my mom had. I understand that, but we were kids and all the sudden our uncle was gone. We didn't hear a word for six years until one night when my mom was gone the phone rang, on the caller ID it was a Utah phone number and we assumed it was my grandma calling. It was my uncle calling for my mom. We told him she wasn't home but that we would have her call him. When he hung up the phone we started crying. It was like a miracle to us.
I think the reason that family not talking to us effected us so much was because we didn't have any family where we lived. All mom's family was West and all my dad's family was up in New York or still in the Dominican Republic. We felt really alone, especially with all the fighting going on with our parents. And we looked forward to moving back to Utah when we cold and we had the idea that our family would be there waiting for us.
I moved back when I was 18. My grandparents were there and they helped me when I needed it. I got some tough love but I am a better person for it. I've learned some great lessons.
I also learned that things weren't going to be the way I thought. I have some cousins who don't speak to me, some that get by on a hello or goodbye. For my Wedding, of my extended family one uncle and aunt came. It meant the world to me, but it also made me sad that of everyone in the family they were the only ones that could take the time for my wedding. I understand that some people couldn't come because of prior engagements, but it still hurt me.
I want to be close with my family. Family here in Utah and In New York, because I felt like I didn't have a family growing up. I want to know why people don't talk to me or why we don't get invited to family parties. I especially want to know if I've done or said something to hurt people's feelings, because I don't like doing that to people and I would like to apologize or make things right.
I don't write this as a pity party. I write this because it's something I've had on my chest for a very long time and I think that I can finally talk about it without getting too emotional.

First Post
This blog is my second blog, but I kind of want to leave the old in the past.
I also want to try and be less loud an opinionated on Facebook, since I think that some of my friendships have been effected by things I've said and I don't want that. So, If I feel strongly about a topic I can share a ling to this blog if someone wants to hear what I've got to say.
I've gotten a ton of views on my old blog and I'm hoping I have the same kind of popularity on this one.
I have an idea for a post that I want to put up, but I want it to be just right.
That's all for now.
